Three (3) AllEarth Solar Trackers for Central Illinois Home, Sullivan, IL

This 16.8 kW (DC) solar installation consisted of three (3) AllEarth solar trackers, a total of sixty (60) SolarWorld 280 Watt solar panels, and three (3) ABB PVI-5000 inverters.  Each array at 5.6 kW (DC) tracks the sun from morning to evening providing an estimated 30,000 kWh’s per year of electricity for the owner’s household.   This project is the largest residential solar project in the Coles-Moultrie rural electric coop’s territory at time of installation.   After the solar project, the owners then installed a geothermal heat pump to eliminate their propane expense.  The solar is projected to generate 100% of the home’s annual electricity needs.  For more info click here for PROJECT FACT SHEET.

5.7 kW (DC) AllEarth Solar Tracker for Home on Southern Illinois Wine Trail (South of Carbondale, IL)

This AllEarth solar tracker installation generates about 50% of this home’s annual power requirements.  Given the wooded location, the AllEarth solar tracker solved the unique challenge of maximizing solar production given that very limited space was available that received good shade-free sunlight.  This site is prominently located adjacent to Owl Creek Winery on the Southern Illinois wine trail.  Next time you’re visiting this area check it out!

5.6 kW (DC) AllEarth Solar Tracker for Rural Windsor, IL Home (North of Effingham, IL)

This AllEarth solar tracker generates about 50% of this energy conscious homeowner’s electricity needs.  Many of our solar clients are all-electric and have geothermal heat pumps like this home.  Solar from the tracker is one of several strategies this homeowner employs to minimize their electrical use.
