Tick Tock Energy led development and turnkey installation, which consisted of 3 subarrays located on a former parking lot and unused greenspace at the company’s 194,000 square foot technology center. Looking ahead to 2025 and beyond, Tick Tock Energy expects continued tremendous growth, with additional large commercial solar projects and numerous canopy solar installations scheduled. Solar canopy structures are an exciting new development in the field that have the unique advantage of providing both weather protection and power. Coupling solar with battery energy storage systems for larger commercial applications and farms is another exciting growth area for the company.
Tick Tock Energy advises commercial businesses and farms to reach out soon to benefit from current financial incentives and grid accessibility. As solar grows in popularity, high concentration of solar installations in some areas are making it tough to add new capacity. Energy storage may be key in helping solve grid challenges while helping customers constrain rapidly rising electricity costs.
Further new changes to the federal solar investment tax credit are expected to create a high demand for new projects, particular for the company’s commercial, non-profit, and farm customers. Residential customers will see an accelerated phase-out of the solar tax credit by end of 2025 and should act soon.
