Solar Canopies and Patios
Solar energy does not have to be limited to your roof. Solar canopies and solar patios create functional covered spaces while generating renewable energy for your property. Whether you want to add shade, improve the usability of an outdoor area, or expand your solar capacity, Tick Tock Energy offers custom solar canopy and patio solutions for your needs.
Roof-Free Build Options
Your solar panels don’t have to be confined to your roof; they can become a dual-purpose amenity for your property! Our solar canopies and solar patio covers allow you to generate clean energy while also creating a functional outdoor space.
Solar Canopies
Solar canopies are elevated above the ground, usually over parking lots, driveways, or walkways, with solar panels installed on top. They serve a dual purpose by generating solar power while providing shade and protection from the elements. We work with Infinity Racking and Lumos Solar, manufacturer of innovative solar canopies, carports, patio covers and related solar structures. These creative systems can be designed to complement the architecture of your home or business, adding a modern and visually appealing element to your property while making the most of underutilized space.
Solar Patio Covers
Tick Tock Energy works with several quality vendors, including Infinity Racking and Lumos Solar, that offer various structural solutions for mounting solar on patios, shade structures, awnings, and other custom applications. Frameless and translucent solar panels create shade but also provide partial light transmittance for a great aesthetic. A solar patio also protects your outdoor furniture, grill, and other items from the elements, extending their lifespan and maintaining their appearance.
Why Should You Invest in a Solar Canopy or Solar Patio?
Adding a solar canopy or patio can give you a practical way to generate clean energy while improving how your outdoor space is used. These systems combine performance and function, making them a smart option for homeowners, farms, and commercial properties alike. They come with many benefits like:
Extra Solar Energy Capture
Solar canopies and patios add new space for solar panels, helping you generate more electricity without relying only on rooftop installation. This can be especially valuable for properties with limited roof space, shading issues, or long-term plans to increase energy production.
More Comfortable Outdoor Spaces
A solar patio or canopy creates a cooler, more comfortable area below by blocking direct sunlight and providing consistent shade. That makes outdoor spaces more enjoyable for gathering, working, parking, or day-to-day use throughout more of the year.
Practical Shade with Long-Term Value
In addition to producing power, these structures create useful covered space that adds function to your property. A well-designed solar canopy or patio can improve comfort, support outdoor activities, and contribute to long-term energy savings at the same time.

Other Custom Solar Mounting Solutions
Tick Tock Energy has installed many wall-mounted solar arrays over the years working closely with specialty rack providers. Racking solutions change and off-the-shelf wall-mounted options are currently less available. We do not manufacture wall, awning, or canopy solar rack systems. We purchase those from 3rd-party vendors and work closely with them through the engineering and equipment procurement process. As Tick Tock Energy finds new specialty products and manufacturers in the marketplace, we can offer unique mounting solutions.
