It’s location at the intersection of Interstate I-70 and I-57 makes access and quick get-aways super easy. Amtrak has a station in Effingham and a relaxing 3 1/2 hour train ride can get you conveniently to downtown Chicago.
Although farmland is plentiful around Effingham, so are woodlands and lakes which offer great outdoor opportunities from hunting, fishing, boating, hiking, biking, and more.
